You’ll be responsible for developing core server-side logic, integrating with front-end systems, and optimising for speed, security, and scalability.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience with Node.js backend development
• Solid experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and data-driven applications
• Design, develop, and maintain robust server-side application logic
• Collaborate with front-end developers to deliver seamless, end-to-end features
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code that’s easy to understand and maintain
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and low-latency performance
• Ensure data protection and application security best practices are followed
• Design and integrate data storage solutions that are reliable and efficient
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript
• Deep understanding of Node.js architecture and asynchronous programming
• Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, and front-end/backend integration
• Hands-on experience with npm, package management, and related tools
• Experience with implementing authentication, authorization, and permission controls
• Knowledge of integrating various databases, data sources, and output methods for mobile/desktop
• Ability to build scalable, maintainable Node.js applications
• Proficient with Git and version control best practices
• A strong sense of product ownership and the ability to think beyond code
• Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with GraphQL or WebSockets
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Contributions to open-source Node.js libraries or frameworks & prior work on high-traffic or enterprise-grade applications
